The lecture notes will be posted on the internet weekly. You can access the web site for class notes by following one of the procedures listed below:
Using a computer in Lupton Hall (classrooms 165, 190 or 194):
Using your computer at home or at work:
Type in the web address of my homepage, which is:
http://info.lu.farmingdale.edu/depts/met/profiles/elgunsz/elgunsz.html
after opening this web page, bookmark it. (On the upper left side of your Browser window click on BOOKMARKS and ADD BOOKMARK. Your computer will automatically name my site as ELGUNSZ)
NOTE: When you type the website, all letters must be lower case (It is case sensitive) and there is no space between characters.
Printing the Lecture Notes:
It is the student's responsibility to print the lecture notes. You may print the lecture notes at home, at work or in one of the classrooms (Lupton 165, 190 or 194). These rooms are usually less busy between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. If the room is locked during those hours, go to Room 163 ask the lab assistant to open the room for you. Make sure that the room where the printer is located is also open.
You can print your lecture notes and email messages by clicking on FILE on the upper left hand side of the BROWSER WINDOW, then click on PRINT. Then read the PRINT dialog box that will appear on the screen. Click on OK. This will start the printing process.
Check your email frequently. Email is used for the purpose of distributing questions on each topic, to remind you certain things such as Review for a TEST, list of Term Paper Topics, last minute emergency notification such as school closing, class cancellation, etc. I will also notify you by email whenever the new lecture notes are posted on the internet. Please check your email frequently. You can access your email at home, at work or in the College. Here is the procedure for checking your email.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: When you send me your first email to inform me about your email account(s), follow these steps:
To: ELGUNSZ@FARMINGDALE.EDU
Subject: IND315
Cc: ------------------- (Enter all your email addresses that you use at home and/or at work separating each email address by a comma) For example: You use two email addresses, one is ABC@XYZ. COM and the other one is HIJKL@MNP.NET In this case your cc: information should include :
Cc: ABC@XYZ.COM, HIJKL@MNP.NET
This will speed up the way I record your email addresses into my folders.

NOTE: Whenever you access the Web Site for Class Lectures, click on:
RELOAD if you are using NETSCAPE.
REFRESH if you are using INTERNET EXPLORER.
If you don't do this before reading the class notes, you may not see the new information on your screen. Computers usually pick up the page of a frequently visited site from the CACHE which may not be the UPDATED page. Clicking on RELOAD or REFRESH makes sure that you are loading the UPDATED Page.
